Thursday, July 24 at 7:30 pm - Author Appearance - Daniel Silva

Saturday, July 26 at 7 pm - Author Appearance - Ann Hood

Tuesday, July 29 at 7 pm - Author Appearance - Linda Greenlaw

Wednesday, July 30 at 7 pm - Author Appearance - Andre Dubus III

Bestselling author Andre Dubus III, whose novel The House of Sand and Fog became an Academy Award-nominated motion picture, will present his new novel, The Garden of Last Days. Andre Dubus gained media attention when The House of Sand and Fog became an Oprah Book Club selection. His new novel, the Florida-based The Garden of Last Days, is set in September 2001, just before the world changed. This psychologically tense page-turner brings to life vividly drawn characters including a jihadist and a stripper, whose lives collide with unimaginable results.

Thursday, July 31 at 7 pm - Author Appearance - Greg Barrett

Veteran journalist Greg Barrett will discuss his new book about the remarkable Rev. Joseph H. Maier, The Gospel of Father Joe. Known as “the Father Teresa of Bangkok,” Father Joe defied the Thai government and religious tradition to build schools for the poor in the worst slums of Bangkok. Today, his aptly named Mercy Centre includes 30 preschools with 4,200 needy children, AIDS hospices, orphanages, safe houses, medical clinics, sports leagues, and more. Author Greg Barrett is a twenty-year veteran of local, national and foreign journalism.
